Jellinbah Mine is located on the Tropic of Capricorn, near Bluff and is operated by Jellinbah Group.

In operation since 1989, the mine is an open cut operation with overburden drilling and blasting, followed by conventional removal with truck and shovel and dozer push.

At Jellinbah Group, our priority is to protect the health and safety of personnel by having a safe working environment. This is achieved by a strong focus on WHS as it relates to all persons involved in or directly affected by mining operations.

We were also very proud when Jellinbah Mine was the recipient of the Queensland Government Healthy Queensland Corporate award in 2009. This award recognised the culture at Jellinbah Mine, and was based on a program which involved up to 12 initiatives over the past 25 years. The current program includes, voluntary health assessments, gym assistance, nutrition advice, QUIT smoking, physiotherapy support, Mates in Mining and information deliveries by a variety of media and health professionals.
