Situated 25km east of Bendigo, Fosterville Gold Mine – operated by Agnico Eagle Mines Limited – is the largest gold producer in the state of Victoria.

As of the end of 2023, the mine has extracted over 4.2 million ounces of gold since beginning operations in 2005.

With over 800 people employed at the mine – who are mostly local to the area – Fosterville Gold Mine strongly believes in engaging with and contributing towards the local community.

Fosterville Mine reached MATES in Mining Accreditation in 2024, having reached maximum levels of General Awareness Talks, 1:20 Connectors, and access to ASIST volunteers to best support their workforce in mental health and suicide prevention.
